RUPERT EUGENE

LITTLE STUFFY

  I was born and raised in a suburb of Kansas City, on the Kansas side. My mother, Dorothy, still lives in Kansas. And yes, she oftentimes wears red shoes and is an absolute joy in my life.

   I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sociology from Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, Kansas and a Master's degree in counseling from Boston University-Overseas. I spent many years as a psychotherapist, mostly working with high risk adolescents. My specialty at the time was borderline personality disorders. I also had the opportunity to work with an individual with multiple personalty disorder and it changed the way I looked at life.

   I decided to change careers and attended St. Louis University School of Law. For the past twelve years I've worked as a research and writing attorney in Federal criminal law. I feel very fortunate to have my daytime job.

   My partner and I share our home with three cats, Sam I Am, Felix (Wheels) and Dexter (Little Stuffy). Little Stuffy makes his debut in Compulsion. Mr. Rupert was my longtime companion. He passed in 2003 and I still miss him dearly.
